Font Style

The Harrington font style is a cute easy to read script with floral swirls to the letters. This font has been described as an ‘art nouveau’ font. The Harrington Font was created in 1991 by a typesetter named Sam Wang but the origin of Harrington has to be in the times of art nouveau. This font is more of a decorative font with its tiny serifs and swirls not seen in fonts like Times New Roman or Courier. I find that some of the Harrington letters are very interesting in their design. It appears to me to be more of an elegant female font, best used for wedding invitations and special event cards.

Why did you pick this font? How would you use it in a design project. Do you think it has other applications other than invitations/ event cards? I am curious as to why this font was designed – what was the designer’s goals or objectives here. Your post left many unanswered questions. p.s. you did not cite any of your sources.
